Elevator Integration
Using a high level interface (HLI) Gallagher offers elevator integration with many different elevator destination control systems. Destination based dispatching uses keypads and screens located in elevator lobbies to enable passengers to select their desired floor before the elevator is called, reducing the number of stops and overall travel time.
Upon presentation of a Gallagher card, the Gallagher access control informs the elevator system that floor access is allowed or denied. This is determined by the cardholder’s access permissions, a schedule for the floor and/or an assigned division. In addition, if the TK Elevator HLI is configured for destination based dispatching, Gallagher will also record the selected floors in the Gallagher Event Log.
Some imaging integrations allow motion detected events to trigger the creation of an event in Command Centre and some can even store video footage associated with this triggered event. This allows operators to view the actual images recorded by the camera. This functionality varies between imaging systems and requires the Jacques system to be networked to Command Centre.
Visitor Management
Gallagher offers an integrated visitor management solution which provides streamlined check-in, self-registration and reception-based processes. This solution also enables host to track and report on visitor movements, allowing for improved security and safety awareness.
Using the Gallagher access control, visitors and contractors can be granted access by simply presenting their mobile device at a reader. This allows the system to keep an accurate record of all people on site, which is crucial for enabling managers to quickly and easily find people during an emergency situation.
The system’s distributed controllers are the heart of any electronic security system - gathering data from alarm sensors, locks, readers, lifts and more. They act as the interface between the central system and the hardware on site, managing local events via onboard user and event databases in the case of a server or comms failure.
